 Blog 4: Camera Shots Comments

The first blog i commented on was the lifeofgeorgeg blog. In particular, it was their close up shot of Samuel that peaked my interest. The angle which was perfectly on eye level, establishing a level of emotional connection between the viewer and the subject in the photo. Samuel's horrifyingly grotesque but humorous and silly face also insinuates a certain lightheartedness to the image which is honestly very hard to put into words. Overall the image connects with me in a way that I've never experienced before, it speaks to my soul in a transcendent way. One which I could devote an entire essay on, but I digress.

Overall, a philosophical and metaphysically challenging masterpiece which goes beyond just a simple photo.

The next blog was the mia3ng blog. This blog included many interesting photos, but I'm going to discuss the Medium Shot. The shot has a cheery, joyful mood. The framing of the shot and the lighting invoke a sense of joy unlike the rest of the blogs. I feel like another big factor is the fact it's in a unique location. The fact it's shot in a Papa Johns restaurant instead of a typical classroom distinguishes the photo, making it more interesting to look at.

Overall, a happy and unique photo which is effective, and unexpected.
