11 Video Project mood board

The movie opener overall has a bloody aesthetic to it. From the copious amount of roses and fake blood, and the idea of having a red kitchen as a set. I kind of see it as an exaggerated view of beauty standards, using the color red everywhere since it's a popular color for lipstick and dresses. I also placed an old beauty and since it showed a before and after of a woman using the product. It's mirrors the movie's themes of body dysmorphia and using external products to alter your appearance.

introducing the group members, and why you chose them. describe some ideas that you had, include an image.  The people in my group are Sofia Guevara, Mykayla C, and Rachel Robinson. I chose them because there wasn't any other group for me to join, and I sit with them at lunch. There weren't many ideas discussed, because the idea for our project was established pretty early on. I truly never had ideas of my own, because the others in my group seemed dead-set on their vision. I couldn't really come up with anything interesting anyway at the moment of brainstorming.  Our project has lots to do with roses, it's kind of a visual motif throughout it

The genre I picked was war movies, which are typically about the trauma experienced during war, and the horrors of war. In particular; I chose World War 1, which was one of the deadliest wars in human  history. The genre interests me for it's ability to transport the viewer to a period which, although we were born too late to experience, changed the lives of millions. War, is placed front and center in it's full horror, showcasing the struggle of the great men who put their lives on the lines. It allows us to live in a reality that we couldn't, and it honors the dead and wounded of war.  It's also a great way to visually digest history. Instead of reading dates on textbook, you are seeing them unfold in front of you eyes in vivid detail. The film format allows a more personal view of the war, establishing a more real connection between the past and present.    My mood board showcases multiple items from the time period. Weapons, supplies, clothes, rations; all items ...
